5 things to do with the money you earn from online surveys

We all do online surveys for different reasons.. well mostly for the money.. but we all do different things with the money we earn from them. It might seem obvious , to spend it on something cool, or to use it to pay bills but there are some pretty nifty ideas that you can do with the money you earn from online surveys. We have 5 of them.

1. Use earnings to buy Gift cards

It might not sound like it at first, but buying gift cards is a GREAT way to save money. The saying ‘a penny saved is a penny earned’ rings truth!

Gift cards can be purchased from stores for regular price, but there are many places online where you can buy gift cards for you favorite places to shop at discounts up to 95% off. I regularly buy gift cards from Raise.com.

Raise.com has gift cards to places like home Depot, Macy’s pizza hut , McDonald’s, Domino’s Pizza , … just about everywhere and all for much much cheaper than paying straight retail prices for the same merchandise.

On top of that, if you use Swagbucks ‘Swagbutton’ feature, you can save even more.

open a raise account and get free $5 as new referred customer!

use ‘atoney’ as referral code and get $5!

2. Put it into a high apr savings account

For a person that loves to save, and really save may want to put the money earned from surveys into a bank account.

The money you earn from surveys for most people is supplemental and may be of more use returning some interest instead of using it for food or amazon gift cards like I do.

3. Open an Acorns account

Acorns is an easy way for the average person to invest. Very basic investing plans, safe, and straight forward. Acorns rounds up purchases to the dollar and invest the rest.

For example, if you make a purchase for $1.30, Acorns will invest .70 cents to bring your ‘purchase’ to 2 dollars.

It’s not a new concept, but it is an easy way to have your money work for you as much as you work for it.

They also have a great referral program, sign up under someone, and Acorn pays new members $5 for joining. To learn more or sign up for a new Acorns account click the link below to be taken to Acorns’ website.

4. Try Robinhood out!

If you got Acorns mastered and feeling a little experimental with the stock market itself, then Robinhood might be for you.

Robinhood allows you to invest directly from your smartphone, and is free to make trades where it costs anywhere from 5 – 15 dollars per trade at a traditional broker.

If you’ve always wanted to test the waters with the stock market, then Robinhood is the way to go.

Another great referral program here. Robinhood issues a free share of stock on them if a new member signs up under someone! Why not!

If interested please use the button below to be taken to the robinhood website.

If stocks are not your thing then skip to number 5.

5. Pay for an expense of your choice!

A great way to use the money you earn from online surveys, is to use it towards expenses you may have.

For instance , if you make $20 dollars per month from surveys , you can use that as a subscription service payment such as Netflix. If you earn much more than that , you could use it for a grocery subscription service such as Blue Apron!

Other subscription services include:

Any more?

Of course! We’ll make a part 2 list to this one. The idea of this post is to show users that the money they earn from online surveys doesn’t have to be limited to just the normal “get paid, and spend it hastily” method. These bucks you’re making can really be made to work for you.

If you have any other ideas of what survey takers can make their money stretch further please share below!!
